SHAKEDOWN RECOVERY

September 28, 2013

REPAIR AND RECOVERY

The Shakedown cruise was wet and unprepared.  The result was an improved checklist and mechanical repairs.  I was encouraged to revisit the previous wilderness for more reconnaissance.  First we reinforced the plastic wardrobe cabinet so tool boxes and cargo would not distort the light cabinet and bind its doors.    The cargo panel now has a sliding cork panel for displays and ease of cargo access.

The computers have typical bugs, so all three computers had virus scans and protection updates.  All three computers were brought to the same level of data in case of failures.  Backup drives are archived as well.  New drawings keep coming and we need to keep the hardware current.

As I prepare to deliver drawings and materials to Arizona I also prepared the homestead for the winter.  I finally got a lawn service to harvest our wheat grass…it almost looks like a lawn!  Now we are ready for a second shakedown tour into those national forest trails.  Then we are off to Arizona!

    • We aren’t quite in position to deliver this now, but it does validate the direction we are following. We have good potential on smaller projects for now.
